120th Annual Iowa State Conference

Held August 1-5, 2007 at Waterloo. Activities included Bible School, Youth Program, daily devotions, classes, afternoon recreation, and evening services that ran from Wednesday evening through Sunday afternoon.

Berean Potluck and Study

We participate in a monthly gathering every first Wednesday for potluck and an informal Bible Study. All ages are welcome! Location: Oaklawn Church of God in the nearby community of Koszta.

Tri-State Annual Ministers Meeting

Church of God ministers and their wives from Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska assemble each year. These are the ministers and their wives who met in October 2007.

Holiday Lake Fishing Trip

This family-oriented get-together in September 2007 shows that we as a congregation can gather to do other fun things in addition to enjoying the experience of Bible reading and study. These pictures tell only a small part of the story.

Youth Sleepover in Waterloo

Held October 19, 20, 2007 with games, fellowship and devotions on Friday night.  Saturday morning, classes and crafts;  Saturday afternoon recreation consisting of roller skating.  Fun was had by all!

Youth Worship Celebration

On Sunday, November 4, 2007, the youth of the congregation took part in and conducted the entire praise service. Included in the service were special musical performances (even including the youngest ones!), testimonials, and a puppet show throughout the Bible devotional teachings.

Spring 2008 Youth Activity

March 8th Family Activity at the Oaklawn Church of God.  We gathered for lessons on "Time" in the Bible -- there is a "time" for everything and we should also take "time" for God!  Festivities and recreation included crafts, a short movie with a message on "Lying" and its consequences, and bowling in Belle Plaine, Iowa.
